Asians and Asian Americans, Mental Health and

The topic of Asian and Asian American mental health refers to psychological factors, psychopathology, behavioral health, and mental health services among diverse subgroups of individuals of Asian descent. The Asian continent is divided into five regions: (1) Western, (2) Central, (3) South, (4) South East, and (5) East Asia, with more than 60% of the global population living within these regions. Individuals of Asian ethnicity also live outside the Asian continent, with Asian Americans making up 5% of the U.S. population, adding to increase in the global Asian population.
