Nervios is a culture-specific disorder associated with physical and emotional symptoms that are common among Latin American populations that have historically experienced extreme cultural and social distress. It has many physical symptoms including headaches, nausea, loss of appetite, and depression. The additional symptoms of fear of falling, dizziness, and fainting are all physical sensations that individuals experience during the condition of nervios. One of the main causes of nervios is the loss of physical and emotional well-being.
