Clinical Video Telemental Health

Clinical video telemental health (CVTmh) refers to the use of video technology to connect patients and mental health providers who are separated from one another by distance. CVTmh is a modality of care where distally located patients and mental health providers come together via a live audio-video connection for mental health assessment, treatment, and follow-up services. Several variations of the term clinical video telemental health are currently in use, including telepsychiatry, mental health videoconferencing, telemedicine, and telemental health practice.
