Prevention Populations
In many sciences, one learns about the nature of things through classification systems (e.g., Mendelov's Table) and, subsequently, sees patterns among various elements and formulates hypotheses about tendencies. As yet, there is no established consensual taxonomy of drug abuse prevention or cessation strategies that segments types of delivery according to the needs of different groups of people. There are, however, the beginnings of different descriptive systems that may divide programming by community factors, level of risk, or stage of human development.
