Robarts Research Institute

ROBARTS RESEARCH INSTITUTE was established in London, Canada, in 1986 as an nonprofit research facility that aims to advance the science needed to understand, treat, and combat debilitating diseases. The institute's team of more than 600 employees includes scientists who are physicians, physicists, biologists, and medical engineers. Although Robarts is privately governed, the researchers do have partnerships with clinical university programs. Robarts also has collaborative partnerships throughout the world. At present, over 20 countries participate with Robarts in collaborative research. Robarts scientists contribute considerably to the research community and publish an average of 150 peer—reviewed publications annually.
