International Stem Cell Forum

THE INTERNATIONAL STEM CELL FORUM (ISCF) was established in 2003 by 21 funded research organizations from all over the world. The first stem cell advance occurred in the United States in 1957, when an intravenous bone marrow transplant was performed on a cancer patient receiving radiation and chemotherapy. The first technique that germinated embryonic stem cells occurred in the United States in 1992. In the last decade, the advancement of stem cell research has materialized quite rapidly. With these rapid advances, a global community has emerged and come together to form the ISCF.
