Triangular Fibrocartilage Injuries

The triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) is a complex ligament-cartilage complex that sits between the distal ulna and the ulnar carpus. It serves as the main stabilizer of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) and plays an important role in load bearing across the ulnar wrist. Tears of the TFCC are an important cause of both acute and chronic ulnar-sided wrist pain.
