Skill Acquisition in Sports

Humans acquire skills, sometimes deliberately, sometimes incidentally, and often by necessity. Skill can be defined as the achievement of an intended outcome repeatedly, with economy of both time and effort (which is logical, given that conservation of energy has been the primary driver in the evolution of most organisms).
