Plantar Fasciitis and Heel Spurs

Plantar fasciitis is an injury to the plantar fascia (the fibrous membrane on the bottom of the foot) that causes heel pain. It is the most common cause of heel pain in adults. The pain is usually at its worst when taking the first few steps in the morning or after prolonged periods of activity.
