Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) of the ankle is an acquired injury to the talus or ankle bone. Ankle OCD occurs in all kinds of athletes but especially in those who are involved in running or high-impact sports. Many athletes who develop OCD of the ankle are involved in multiple sports and participate in athletic activity for many hours every day.
