Frozen Shoulder

Frozen shoulder is a descriptive diagnosis for a shoulder that has lost substantial range of motion. Usually, the term refers to an abnormality of the glenohumeral joint capsule where the capsule has lost its normal distensibility or to adhesions that have formed between the joint capsule and the head of the humerus.
