Femoral Neck Stress Fracture

Stress fracture or fatigue fracture of the femoral neck is an uncommon problem. Typically, these injuries arise from repetitive overuse and are most often seen in athletes and military recruits. Unlike stress fractures in other parts of the skeleton, however, the potential for serious long-term consequences from femoral neck stress fractures is high.
