Cognitive Skill/Intellectual Skill
Cognitive skill refers to an individual's ability to gain meaning and knowledge from their experiences and information that is presented to them. Cognition is the capacity to learn and think about new information, the ability to process and articulate that acquired knowledge, and then relate and apply it to previously gained information. Through the course of a person's lifetime, they are typically able to increase their cognitive skills to process information more easily. In the past, there have been various theories indicating different highlighted areas of cognitive skill, as well as several noteworthy individuals with theories on how cognitive skill is acquired during an individual's life.
