Watching television has become a regular, everyday activity in the modern world. A great deal of people's knowledge and understanding is acquired by watching television. Television viewing has both positive and negative outcomes. However, this contradictory background system constitutes the informal education context. Moreover, television provides learners with a new set of cognitive skills, which challenge formal education to respond to the changes arising from the environment. These conflicting opinions are connected to a variety of aspects.
