Oregon

Covering an area of 98,386 square miles, Oregon is the ninth-largest state in the United States, with a population of 3,831,074. The land comprises large forests, valleys, plateaus, volcanic peaks, and a rugged coast. At 1,932 feet, Oregon's Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the country. Officially known as the Beaver State because of the beavers that populated the country in its early days, Oregon is also referred to as the Webfoot State because of the heavy rains that fall, amounting to as much as 180 inches annually in parts of the state.

Oregon shares its northern border with Washington State and its southern border with California and Nevada. Idaho is located to the east, and Oregon's western border is formed by the Pacific Ocean. ...
