Libraries, School

School libraries have a unique role in American schools today. Once thought of as complements to classroom content, school libraries are currently considered an important point of application and extension for classroom learning. As such, school libraries remain an important aspect of education. In addition, school libraries are a crucial point of study because of their location as one site of the development for new literacy practices.
