Alphonse Capone (1899–1947) was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was a notorious gangster who never made it to his 50th birthday. Although he was an elementary school dropout, Capone learned how to survive on the streets in a gang known as the Five Pointers. He became known for his toughness and his willingness to follow orders. He had an uncanny ability to sense danger, and his survival skills were sharpened on the backstreets of Brooklyn. His criminal career served as a model for organized crime members.
