While the precise number of victims he murdered will never be known, Ted Bundy remains one of the United States’ most infamous and [Page 171]prolific serial killers of all time. His true motives also remain a mystery. Nearing his execution, he blamed the violent pornography he viewed as a teen as well as the man he believed was his father, who he said tortured animals and was racist and anti-Semitic. Bundy was known to kidnap young women, knock them unconscious, violently sexually assault them, and strangle them to death.
