Texas

Texas is the second-largest state in the United States in both area (after Alaska) and population (after California). In 2010, the state's population was 25,145,561, a 20.6 percent increase since 2000. The majority of the population is white (70.4 percent) with large minorities of blacks (11.8 percent) and Hispanics (37.6 percent; a Hispanic person can be of any race).
