Murad “Jack” Kevorkian (1928–2011) was the second of three children, and the only boy born to Levon and Satenig Kevorkian of Pontiac, Michigan. Although the Kevorkian family was very religious and went to church on a regular basis, Jack was unable to blindly follow the doctrine of faith that he believed Christianity required. He constantly questioned his teachers, and by the age of 12, he had given up on attending church entirely.
