Social Media Analytics

Social media analytics comprises a set of data acquisition, analysis, and reporting processes that take data gathered from social media web sites, applications, and apps to identify important information about stakeholders, especially social media users and customers of organizations who use social media services (SMSes). Metrics such as clicks, likes, shares, interactions, followers, and hundreds of other actions are collected from individual users as they use SMSes; users must approve these practices when they sign up for a social media service and accept the user agreements. Some SMSes allow users to restrict data collection on the account.
