Islamic Ethics

Islam is a fast-growing religion with a young population living in most areas of the globe. However, the Islamic impact on society is greater than the population percentage, as it affects every business that wishes to count Muslims among its customers or clients. As a religion, Islam is favorable to commerce but has some very specific prescriptions regarding business conduct.

Contemporary discussions of ethics address theory, norms arising out of it, and the application to specific situations. Islamic ethics would find discussion at any of these levels to be lacking if it failed to also consider the will of God and the welfare of the community.
