Incident Response

Incident response is a systematic approach to managing the aftermath of any event that affects the normal operations of a business or organization. An incident can be any type of physical attack, such as workplace violence or an active shooter situation; a security breach on the physical or cyber infrastructure of an organization; or a natural disaster. Many incidents around the country and around the world demonstrate the importance of emergency preparedness for individuals and professionals in both the public and the private sector. The objective is to respond to the situation in a way that reduces the loss of life, limits the physical damage, reduces the recovery time, and reduces costs.
