Employee Protection and Workplace Safety Legislation

Almost every endeavor of humans involving construction or the production of goods and services involves some level of risk. Generally, more developed societies do a better job of protecting their workers than developing countries and cultures. For the United States, there is a historical perspective since the Industrial Revolution in England was approximately 100 years earlier than in the United States. So, as the United States began its industrial expansion late in the 19th century, a comparison of injuries and fatalities could be made with regard to the more advanced production approaches in England.
