Ecosystems

The notion of ecosystem is multidimensional. It can refer to an actual fundamental component of the universe or be used as an analytical lens to describe the interdependent dynamics found in the vast physical cosmos in which all exist. While valuing the reductionist perspective focused on parts and the concept of building blocks, this systemic perspective draws particular attention to the relational aspect of the world and emphasizes the highly influential impact its various components have on one another.

Central to the concept of ecosystem is the understanding that all in the universe exist in dynamic interdependent relationships that are continuously changing or evolving. Identifiable physical regions or dynamics can be discerned and tracked based on the interconnectivity, interactions, and qualities of its particular components.
