Ease of Doing Business Index

The Ease of Doing Business Index (EDBI) was created and is maintained by the World Bank. Economies, or more generally countries, are ranked from 1 to 189 (in 2015), with 1 indicating the economy that is the most conducive to starting and operating a business. The EDBI may also be referred to as the Doing Business Index, the Doing Business Indicators, or the DB. Similar economic growth and development indices are the Indices of Economic Freedom, the Global Rights Index, Corruption Perceptions Index, and the Global Competitiveness Report.
