Air Quality

Residents who live near refineries or pig farms may be exposed to air that is of reduced quality, a situation that will rarely go unnoticed. They may perceive the air as unpleasant, unacceptable, and not appropriate for inhaling—all of which connotations are implied by the term quality—and they are well equipped by their senses to make such judgments.
