Entrepreneurship Education: Graduate Programs

Entrepreneurship education has been part of the postsecondary curriculum since at least the 1970s. However, with the increasing number of entrepreneurship programs in universities and colleges and technical institutes, more importance has been placed on entrepreneurship education pedagogy and the appropriateness and effectiveness of entrepreneurship education at the postsecondary level. Surveys and analyses of different pedagogical methods in this area started in the mid-1980s, as the first master's of business administration (MBA) program in entrepreneurship was offered in 1971 at the University of South California; the field then started to pick up steam.
