Licensing

A license agreement consists of a licensor and a licensee. The licensor is the person who gives or grants a license. The licensee is the person who has the right or privilege and then the responsibility to use, carry on an operation, or act as representative under certain terms and conditions. A licensing agreement gives permission to do or carry on some trade or business that would otherwise be unlawful absent the agreement. The language of the agreement will grant the authority from an inventor, owner, or holder of a right to use the original works of the creator; in the case of a business operation, it will provide the licensee the right to represent the licensor.
