[MUSIC PLAYING]When you listen to a Pape Niang and his band,you wouldn't be able to tell that he's playing in the dark.The Senegalese jazz man has been blind since birth,but defines himself as handicapable.

At 13 I started getting interested in music,and I trained my ear.I was making music on all types of objects-- chairs, sofas,boxes.Pape Niang has always lived in Dakar,and he's learned everything he knowswithout ever attending music schools.I'm a jazz, reggae, soul, blues, salsa musician.
