Council of National Psychological Associations for the Advancement of Ethnic Minority Interests

The Council of National Psychological Associations for the Advancement of Ethnic Minority Interests (CNPAAEMI) comprises the presidents of the national minority psychological associations, including the Asian American Psychological Association, the Association of Black Psychologists, the National Latina/o Psychological Association, the Society of Indian Psychologists, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues (Division 45 of the American Psychological Association). The president of the American Psychological Association (APA) is an ex officio member. The past and ongoing history of the CNPAAEMI is a case study of the process of racial and ethnic reconciliation and the building of diversity within the context of national associations.
