Canadian Law and Economics Association

The Canadian Law and Economics Association holds its annual meeting each September at the University of Toronto Law School, attracting seventy to eighty participants. Members of the association include not only Canadians but also many Americans and Europeans. About half the members are lawyers, the other half economists. The Law School supplies secretarial time as well as space for the annual meeting, the association's primary activity. The largest source of funding, besides dues, has been a generous Olin Foundation grant.
