Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) was established in 1974 when Congress passed the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA). One of the Office's major functions was to study and to assist others in evaluating the most effective techniques for combating juvenile delinquency.
