The number of people traveling internationally is increasing every year. This increase in traveling is due both to population migration and tourism, including visits to some ecologically inspiring areas (ecotourism). Ecotourism can present a risk for environmental deterioration of sensitive ecosystems as well a risk for diseases acquired by travelers in such areas. This is an important aspect for the global public health that should also be considered in the new perspectives of a more ecological green world.
