International Association of Environmental Philosophy

The International Association of Environmental Philosophy (IAEP) was founded in 1996–97 by Professors Bruce Foltz (philosophy) and Robert Frodeman (geology), who also served as president and vice president, respectively (Frodeman remains as an executive officer). IAEP has served as a premier global academic/professional not-for-profit organization alongside the older International Society for Environmental Ethics (ISEE). According to its bylaws (Article II: Purpose):

The purpose of the International Association of Environmental Philosophy is to provide a forum for wide-ranging philosophical discussion of nature and the human relation to the natural environment.
