Ecopedagogy and Ecodidactics

Ecopedagogy describes education that is designed to provide learners with the skills, knowledge, values, and attitudes required to make the transition toward sustainable living. Even though this particular kind of education is sorely needed in the light of the global environmental crisis, it has only recently gained acceptance into mainstream curricula. Education systems at all levels have so far largely failed to prepare learners for the challenges arising from the crisis.
