The destruction of forests that release oxygen and absorb hazardous carbon dioxide emissions, contributing to global warming, has been a major environmental concern. With the threat of global warming and the recognition that countries like the United States have enough agricultural waste to produce tree-free paper, there is now an emerging emphasis on producing environmentally friendly books.
