Aptitudes

Aptitudes are characteristics that contribute to the quality and rate of acquisition of knowledge and skills in a specific domain. Aptitudes are highly related to the domain because different kinds of domains are organized in distinct ways and impose different kinds of demands on individual aptitudes. Suppose that two persons have the same opportunities to develop a teaching skill. They take the same course, complete the same assignments, and practice the same teaching skill in the same classroom for the same length of time with the same supervisor.
