Women's Health

Women have long borne the primary responsibility for their family's health care giving. In fact, women make approximately 70% of the health care-related decisions for their children, husbands, and even their aging parents. Women tend to provide the health care and also decide from whom their family will seek health care. As recently as a generation ago, the traditional nuclear family was made up of a husband and/or father who went to work, and the wife and/or mother who stayed home and cared for the children, nursing them when they were ill.
