Conner, Ross

(b. 1946, Denver, Colorado). Ph.D. and M.A. Northwestern University; B.A. Johns Hopkins University.

Conner is Professor, School of Social Ecology, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of California, Irvine, and is Acting Director of an initiative to establish a multischool, campus-community center for community health research.

Conner has contributed to the evaluation profession through his works on community-based evaluation, evaluation in international and cross-cultural settings, and collaborative approaches to evaluation. He has extensive evaluation experience, having worked on diverse topics (e.g., community-based planning, AIDS prevention, leadership, education, criminal justice, and rural development) and with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., Korean and Chinese community coalitions, Mexican farm workers, urban Latino men, agriculture leaders, and teen youth).
