Buros Institute
Named for Oscar Buros and in existence for more than 70 years, the institute is best known for publishing The Mental Measurements Yearbook and Test in Print series. Introduced in 1938, these series have become the standard for reviews of commercially available tests. In 1977, the Buros Institute moved to the University of Nebraska, and in 1994, with a grant from Luella Buros, a center was created there that combined the role of test evaluation with a consultation and outreach service.
