Quality Control

Quality control is an umbrella term for techniques and activities used to fulfill requirements for quality. Although quality assurance and quality control are often used interchangeably, quality control is the broader term. It is possible to have quality control without quality assurance, but not vice versa. The currently fashionable “Six Sigma” is a quality control method.
