Henry, Gary T.

(b. 1953, Clark County, Kentucky). Ph.D. Urban Social Institutions, University of Wisconsin, Knapp Dissertation Fellow; M.A. Political Science, B.A. Political Science and Latin American Studies, University of Kentucky.

Henry is Professor in the Departments of Public Administration and Urban Studies, Political Science, and Educational Policy Studies at Georgia State University. During his time at Georgia State, he has also been Director of the Applied Research Center. Previously he held faculty positions at Virginia Commonwealth University, and he was also a visiting faculty member at the University of Liege, Belgium, and Huang He University, People's Republic of China. Henry was Deputy Superintendent of Public Instruction for Policy, Assessment, Evaluation, Research, and Information Systems, Department of Education, Commonwealth of Virginia, and Deputy Secretary of Education, Commonwealth of Virginia.
