Glass is Professor of Education Policy Studies and Professor of Psychology in Education at Arizona State University at Tempe, where he has held appointments in three departments, headed the Ph.D. program in Education, and served as Associate Dean of Policy for Research in the College of Education. Before moving to Arizona State University in 1986, he held faculty positions at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 1975, he was elected President of the American Educational Research Association; he was the youngest president the association had had in its 80-year history.
