National Military Family Association

The National Military Family Association (NMFA) is a nonprofit (501[c][3]) special interest group representing military families. The group’s mission is “to fight for benefits and programs that strengthen and protect uniformed services families and reflect the nation’s respect for their service,” according to the group’s official mission statement. It operates programs for military children and spouses, provides information and support for military families, especially around deployment issues, and lobbies the U.S. Congress on behalf of military family members for benefits and support services. The NMFA works on behalf of the families of all branches of the uniformed services, whether active duty, reserve, or National Guard.
