Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin, a major U.S. aerospace and defense technology corporation, is the product of a merger between Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta in 1994 and is one of the largest defense contractors in the world. Lockheed Martin is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, and its current chief executive officer is Robert J. Stevens. Lockheed is the largest government contractor in the country, having reported $46.5 billion in revenue in 2011. Most of that revenue (82%) came from contracts with the U.S. government, with 61% from the Department of Defense alone. In 2011, Lockheed Martin spent about $15 million in lobbying expenditures at the federal level.
