Physical Fitness

Physical fitness has always been a key element in winning ground on the battlefield. As the battlefield has evolved, tactics have as well; in modern situations, soldiers carry multiple weapons and ammunition. Soldiers must maintain their physical fitness if they want to remain lethal over the duration of a patrol or battle. Soldiers must be able to move quickly over a long period of time, while carrying their ammo, weapons, and any other supplies they may need to sustain themselves. This can push an individual’s physical stamina to the limits and, at the same time, requires the soldier to stay mentally alert for possible threats.
