Violent content in the media is not limited to the movies and television shows for entertainment. Each day, millions of Americans are presented with violence in the news through some medium, whether television, radio, or the Internet, and a considerable amount of coverage is devoted to stories of crime and violence. Additionally, the availability of news through 24-hour channels means that news consumers can receive their news any time of the day.
