The study of health communication is particularly active in South Korea. The country has encountered some specific health problems and has developed important health campaigns aimed at solving these problems. South Korean universities have also adapted medical training to facilitate better doctor–patient communication. Additionally, two unique academic organizations focusing on health communication have been established in the country.
