Impactful communication is an important component of any health communication context, from provider–patient interaction to campaigns and interventions. Health messages need to be effective and drive individuals to change their attitudes or behaviors. Memorable messages are one type of impactful communication that has profound effects on attitudes and behaviors. They are defined as verbal messages that may be remembered for extremely long periods of time, and which people perceive as a major influence on the course of their lives.
